Knarled Tree

I have always had a bit of a fascination with death, and the way people deal with it. I am not going to pretend to be cultured, or know the name, but that yearly festival in mexico, where they take food and drink to the cemetery and eat with their dead relatives kind of sums it up. i am of the opinion when i die, do what you like, i am dead, move on......

i have always enjoyed partaking in activities which get the blood pumping too, not so much since abs was born, as i have certain responsibilities now.

anyhoo, i took a wander into a local cemetery, to blip a headstone which scared the crap out of me as a kid, and i noticed a new children's memorial, and a host of recent child's graves. i spent a while reading before heading to my subject, but as i did a man walked up to one of the headstones i had just been reading and placed fresh flowers. is little girl died in 2008, aged three...... the same age that abs is now.

it was in appropriate for me to snap away while he was nearby, so i stopped off at this tree instead.

thanks for all the comments yesterday, i think its ghastliness was enhanced with the use of HDR!!!
