Its ready!

Finally, the old bike is road worthy and being tested by the boy.

Its not taken too many new parts, tyres, tubes, pedals, rear freewheeel, gear cables, saddle and computer. Okay, so there were a few bits but in terms of cost, it was done quite cheaply with most parts available in summer sales. Oh and there was also the new helmet and shorts.

Anyway, he has given it the first road test and it is stiff and fast. For the knowledgeable ones among you, its an old 653 tubing road race bike and is pretty stiff, light and responsive.

So we are now hoping for some dry weather at least, for what remains of the summer.
