helen and i needed a break this weekend, so we made our way out to the palm desert for a little r&r. we decided to go to joshua tree because the flowers are supposed to be in bloom at this time of the year. unfortunately, we arrived too late to make it to the flowers, but we did find this scenic vista to watch the sunset...
