Through Jo's Lens

Bruise

I was woken throughout the night for obs but, even so, I did manage to get some kip. The nurse would walk around the ward wearing a miner's lamp on her head so that she could see what she was doing without switching the entire ward's lights on and therefore would only create minimum disturbance...that was the idea, in reality she had the loudest voice of anyone I've ever heard and that includes my future-town-crier-to-be son, Jed!!!

I expected to wake up this morning feeling raring to go but, to be honest, I felt like crap. Much worse than I thought I would. I'm not a wuss but my shoulders and abdomen are really sore.

Graham collected me and took me home then my Mum phoned to say she'd keep the boys over the weekend if necessary but I told her to bring them up. It's been their first week back at school and I think it's only fair that they are home to have their own things and to play out with their friends here.

This is my arm, by the way. I am awkward to get bloods from but it's a super bruise, isn't it?!
