Day 1 - Tiburon

Virgin flight from London to San Fran, leaving at 13.00 and arriving at 15.30. Prem Ec lessened the pain of a long flight, and after some half decent food and a few films we were soon descending towards California.

Car picked up (a rather tired Toyota but will do the job), and before long we were driving San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge - memorable even in our dazed states. Turned off the freeway and made our way towards Tiburon, a small town we loved when we visited for the day years ago. Boutique hotel is sublime, with this view greeting us from our room - SF in the distance. A meal in the neighbouring pub has satisfied our need for fuel. Should sleep well tonight before venturing to SF tomorrow on the ferry.
