Galpharm Stadium
Scotland holiday- day 9
Last day of our holiday and we are no longer in Scotland. We drove as far as a Travelodge on the M62 last night so that we could go to this game today.
Went to the Rugby League museum in the morning- just a room in a hotel (not a bedroom, that'd be weird) but very interesting and full of stuff. Well worth a visit if you like rugby league.
Then we went to watch Huddersfield Giants v Quins. I was looking forward to going to a game in a bigger stadium with a big crowd but they only had about 5000 which is about 1000 more than we get at The Stoop on a good day and they were very quiet fans. I love going to Quins away games though, it makes us feel like hardcore dedicated fans, especially as I counted 18 away fans, yes 18! The home fans were so welcoming and several people asked if we lived in London and were impressed at how far we'd travelled. And at the end the Quins players came over to show their appreciation to their 18 fans.
I climbed up to the back to take this, we were sat near the front where the players could here us shout.
Then we drove home and got in about 10pm. Thank goodness school didn't start till Tuesday.
edit: we played badly and lost by lots
