Ploughing up the spuds

Spent the afternoon helping friends harvest their spuds. Tim and Sandra have two working horses Henry and Whinnie, who help with many tasks on their small holding. We pulled the potato plants and some weeds, then the horses ploughed through the ridge, the spuds were thrown either side for us to collect in buckets, then we threw them into a cart which Henry would pull into the barn later. As you can see Sandra drives the two horses, while Tim has the task of keeping the plough on track!
A fine feast of home produce was served afterwards.
