Look at him!

He's got two legs. He can walk, we have to hop.

Had a lazy day today. Were supposed to be going for a cycle but it was wet and we couldn't be bothered to go out in wet weather gear.
In the afternoon we decided to go for a walk on the Arbroath cliffs but the rain started again really heavily so we turned round and went to the Ferry - and it got quite bright. The tide was in and a group of redshanks and turnstones was standing on the sewage outflow waiting for their feeding ground to re-appear.
Having thought the weather would mean not many photo opportunities I ended up with several acceptable bird ones, including geese flying over, and a few others so the choice was quite hard but I liked this group of redshanks and the fact that only one seems to have 2 legs, and yes, they did hop when they wanted to move.
