Aye aye Admiral!

This is the first of the red admirals I've spotted on the fallen pears. They love them and spend hours drifting around getting quite tipsy I think! I'm sure more will arrive, it's reassuring to know there is a healthy population of butterflies out there.
I now have loads of pears and the apples are starting to fall. Just when I have the courgettes under control too! I do try and use whatever is to hand in the garden but the glut is overwhelming - another full day in the kitchen required. When I am going to find the time I don't know. Off to York tomorrow morning to help with preparations for my friend's move then rehearsal all afternoon. Busy and I love it!
(Help, my neighbour has just rung me to ask me to come and pick damsons!!!)
