Wood Carving

I have probably mentioned before that I don't quite "get" garden centres as a venue for a day out, our local one has commissioned a great wood carving though.

Its not easy to photograph without an ugly background as its in the middle of a busy car park but I have done my best (with the help of a few Photoshop tricks).

It was a massive tree until earlier in the year when the overhanging branches became dangerous, so they commissioned a sculptor called Peter Martin to turn it into a centrepiece.
