A good outlook

I went for a short drive tonight, and just caught the last glimmer of daylight on the horizon through the cloud that?s been lingering all day. I took the opportunity to test the other extreme of the lens. It?s sharp enough to produce an A3 print, which is all I?d ever ask of it, and didn?t seem to produce any unwanted flare. There was a tiny bit of colour fringing, but nothing that Adobe Camera Raw couldn?t handle. I turned off the VC for this one and mounted it on a Gorillapod Focus. The combination works well, with no unwanted movement. All good news, as this (along with a couple of filters) is the only gear I?ll be taking to Rome next month.
