Season of fruitfulness

Had a walk with Chris this afternoon through the woods above Mooredge and St Ives. I persuaded him he needed to try out his new walking trainers. We did walk 1 from our 'Local Walks for Local Walkers' book and I think he enjoyed it.

There were lots of signs of Autumn fruitfulness, particularly fungi but I was attracted to these blackberries. As a child I often went blackberrying with my mother but had nothing to collect them in today. I managed to blip these before Chris ate them! - Good to have some refreshment on the way. We also saw trees laden with conkers about to ripen.
Back in the village we were reminded that it was still really summer as there was a cricket match going on.

I think I might be able to get him to come with me again.
