Thanks to the Rugby World Cup there isn't anywhere in Wellington, and I'm sure New Zealand, where this "hooligans' game played by gentlemen" hasn't made its presence felt in some way.

This is Civic Square, in the heart of central Wellington, where I often sit for lunch. Normally it doesn't boast a rugby pitch with accompanying posts but, as you can clearly see from the picture, it sure does now.

If you look carefully you can see two office workers having a lunchtime kickabout. You can also see their rugby ball but you could almost think that they were playing with the spherical 'Fern Ball' sculpture by Neil Dawson at the top of the shot.
