Ta-da!

There! What I've been waiting all week to blip!

I joined The Mother up at the prow she said "This is kingfisher country!" She's learnt the lingo. "Yes!" I said. Oh! Wow! There it was in the classic pose on a branch overhanging the water. Arrgh!!!! No camara round neck!

I reached for the camera and ran through the 60' boat to tell The Men at the tiller. Chippy was too gobsmacked to hand over the tiller and pick up his camera. This our fourth successive year on a narrowboat holiday and the first chance to get a shot of these elusive little birds.

Not the most perfect shot like Water of Leith blipper DaveH gets but I'm chuffed to have managed something.
