Colors of Ganapati - Lord Ganesha
The streets of the city of Hyderabad have been buzzing with Ganesha Chants and loud Ganesha songs all over the week. After all, it's one of the most awaited festival of Southern India, Ganesh Chaturthi.
Finally about 10 days after the Idols of Lord Ganesha were put up in various parts of the country, yesterday was the time for the final procession of sailing the idols in Water known as "Visarjana".
On my way back home, as i reached my colony, i see the Idol which was put up there, was finally moving and around it were people Dancing, Chanting "Ganpati Bappa Moreya". Some real good local instrument players were playing Huge Dhols and some more instruments i am not aware of the names. The music although was a bit too loud but was full of Energy and Spirit.
It was a scene worth watching and for me, well being from North India, i have never seen such processions, so for me this was fun.
The seasons of Festivals is underway and i am visiting my hometown after about 7 months for the biggest festival in North India, Diwali.
I'll try to be a bit regular with my blipping going forward and wish y'all have a good time.
Later.
