Three Men and a Medal

This is my friend Stan Gowrie, proudly holding his fifty year long service medal.

It has just been presented to him by Peter Roberts, left, and Stan Lippeat in the middle.

Stan Gowrie has played with Newtongrange Silver Band for most of that fifty years.

He started playing three years before he was born.
