Harlequins

More mini-beasts, although these ones might not be so welcome, as I think they are the voracious, invading Harlequins.

I found a colony at the edge of the campus nature reserve at lunchtime, including some distinctive larvae crawling around.

I wasn't sure about leaving the metal sheeting in the image, but I quite liked the combination of rough and smooth textures to offset the bugs.
