30 day challenge 28: daily routine

When we were looking into getting getting a Greyhound, the blurb from the Retired Greyhound Trust told us, "they're notoriously lazy dogs", and for the amount of exercise to, "think Usain Bolt not Paula Radcliffe", short bursts of speed and rest, not miles and miles of walking.

And boy were they right!

Even after 3 years of having Lola we still marvel at her capacity to lay on her bed doing nothing for hours and hours in complete contentment, and then feign deafness or sleep (or even death if it's really bad weather outside!) when her collar and lead are bought into the room. But the daily routine (after coaxing her to stand and waiting for the endless stretching, sometimes held for a length of time to shame a yoga master), of taking her for a walk has been one of the very best things about having her.
