Portraits

There is a Holga Contest that is portrait themed this year - which has me query myself on what is a portrait, must it be of an animate creature only? These copper sprinkler heads on old buildings that have built a beautiful patina fit within the realm of portrait for me. Yesterday while I was waiting for gesso to dry I did some sketchy self-portraits and became quite caught up in all the wrinkles, particularly in the area of the chin. Why does the chin fall first? Gravity I suppose.
