Jorge and Akani Say Goodnight

While driving back to work from the camera club meeting this evening around 21:45, I noticed the lights at the entrance to the Queens University halls of residence and thought they might make a decent night time Blip on my way home. Passing again later, I spotted Jorge and Akani saying goodnight under an umbrella and the scene struck me as more interesting than my original idea. So I pulled in and parked, ran across the road like a mad eegit and asked if they would stay in the same position while I got a shot in. They kindly obliged (I think they may have been a little scurred!). It was quite rushed and it didn't come out the way I envisaged it, but I think you might get the general idea I was aiming for. Better luck next time, hopefully.

In other news, I joined a camera club! It was the first meeting of the new year for the Belfast Picture Imaging Club (BPIC) and three of the members recently achieved accreditation with the Royal Photographic Society. In particular, the presentation of Donal McCann's panel of work completely blew me away. This chap will end up with Magnum. Stunning, emotional stuff.
