There was a last minute vacancy on a day's training course at the office today; it turned out to be very useful, learning about how many hidden efficiences there are in one's everyday software. The time I have previously wasted on alignments alone would have been enough to make several cups of tea or drink a delicious pint of beer at the very least.

However, this did all take place in the basement and although when I emerged I noticed some trees starting to show some lovely autumn colours the bus was coming down the street so I didn't get a photo. When I got back to the house I noticed some nice light through the leaves of the creeping fig - although it doesn't do the autumn colours.
