Shining Light

It was such a wonderful 21st party with such very wonderful people. I finally gave in at 1am, and as I left the final 6 sitting at the table, I glanced over my shoulder to say goodnight - and have a mental snapshot of what my kitchen looked like.

At 7am, I walked into the kitchen and gasped. EVERYTHING had been cleared away - all the furniture back in its place and although there were many piles and heaps of plates and glasses - it was all tidy and organised. I burst into happy tears and ran upstairs and gave Susan and Christie such big hugs. They had stayed up until 2.30am tidying and sorting.

At 7pm, my entire house is almost back to normal and I am thinking about a few opportune furniture changes... hmmmm. I quite like a wee change.

I blipped this sky today on my to a meeting and whizzed into a lay-by to take it with no time to spare. I love it and it reminds me of my wee star who is now off for a week to Kos!! The joys of youth (well, she may need to give that status up now!!)

It has been a very wonderful (and expensive) summer celebrating big and significant birthdays (90 and 21), but I would rather have a lean few months and the fab fab memories and photos that I have, than not have dedicated my summer to my dad and my daughter. I have enjoyed it all more than anyone can know.

Anyone got a big birthday next year ??? I would love to help!
