European Parliament

So, I'm here on my year abroad in Brussels to work for CARE for Europe. This charity work in the EU in order to raise awareness about certain ethical issues...such as in gender equality, human rights, employment, family laws, human trafficking. They do a fantastic job advising certain MEPs (those who wish to have contact with CARE), documenting what is going on in Parliamentary, Committee meetings etc. On Tuesday I was given a tour of the EP, it is a huge, tall and glass looking building. And, what's even better...all the food is majorly discounted inside! It was great to sit in on a meeting about "well-being" in the EU, and how to gear it more towards general happiness, other than just pure economics achievement (although this is obviously a rather big issue at the moment!).
