Visit to the garden centre

There's a huge new garden centre opened up just a few miles from where I live so my friend M and I decided to pay it a visit - after all, they were offering a free cup of coffee! Plants somehow seem to take a bit of a back seat at these new mega centres - they seem to give more prominence to exotic food, homeware, clothes and pets. When we eventually found the plants, this canna 'Durban' really stood out. I managed to resist buying it until I find out more about how to grow them - but it was so spectacular that I could well find myself paying the centre a second visit. Their coffee was good, too!
