All dressed up and nowhere to go....

The Brisbane City Council have taken up the "green" initiative to encourage less cars and more cycling; hence the rent a bike scheme and these rows of cycles lined up all over the city. I have seen these in Europe and they are incredibly popular but they really don't appear to have taken off here.

I think there is something quite sad about the rows of shiny new bicycles that never seem to go anywhere. Maybe I should rent one myself....
