Duck Duck Goose: Variations on a Theme

"Lizzie! Lizzie! Lizzie!" I called out.

How strange it is to work in a city of 10 million folks and yet in one month run into so many people I know. In this case, it was an absolutely delightful young musician with whom my mother had the honor of playing in a Brahms trio just a few short months ago.

And of course, I'd gotten her name wrong, calling Clara instead by her sister's name. Whoops.

It was a delightful pause in my day, a moment of peace and solace in the busy city. And it definitely made my day. As soon as I was above ground, I left my mom a little message about how small a world it is we live in. Goodness!

Otherwise, my second day of work was a bit overwhelming. Luckily, my workplace is also a bit of a retreat from the city outside.
