Man's Best Friend

John & Natalie, my daughter and son-in-law, got Houston before their oldest child was born. He was a brown Weimaraner. Mallory, my granddaughter was born shortly thereafter. All eight of their kids grew up with him. He grew up chasing the UPS man down the street, and was nearly hit several times. But, still, he persevered. He lived for more than 15 years, which is a ripe old age in dog years. But, time takes its toll, and he had seen much better days. He was blind, and had several large tumors on him, and had numerous health problems. He passed on yesterday. Very sad day. They buried him in their pet cemetery and made this headstone for him. He loved red licorice, and the red lettering represents that.

The comment was made that now he's probably in heaven bragging about how many children loved him.
