Plants of China
Before the announcement at lunchtime of this year's legislative programme I attended a Scottish China Education Network event at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh ( one of my favourite places as a child, a student and an adult ) focussed on the plants of China , but which - in the spirit of Curriculum for Excellence best practice - joined together some tremendous varied learning about, and engagement with, China.
The pupils of Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline - a Confucius Classroom Hub - made a very good presentation about conservation whilst I was there and my iPhone was fortunately to hand! The Chinese Consul General - the other guest - seemed to enjoy it greatly too.
