Myth buster....

....I thought Scotland invented western civilisation. However, it's now clear to me that Belgium did, par exemple:

1) Belgians invented potato chips (French fries) and yet have the lowest proportion of McDonald's restaurants per inhabitant in the developed world, with only 0.062 per 10,000 people, or 7x less than the USA.
2) There are over 800 kinds of beers made in Belgium.
3) Belgium has compulsory education up to 18 years old (highest in the world).
4) 24 million tablets of ecstasy are consumed in Belgium each year and possession of up to 3 grammes of cannabis is legal
5) Has the highest density of railways in the world
6) 80% of billiard players use Belgian-made balls
7) Belgium has more comic makers per square kilometer than any other country in the world (even Japan)
8) Belgium produces 220,000 tonnes of chocolate per year.
9) Clovis (466-511), the Frankish king who conquered Roman Gaul and is considered to be the first king of France, was born and raised in Tournai, Belgium
10) The saxophone was invented in the early 1840's by Adolphe Sax.......

.....I could go on and on.

Oh, some of my cousins live in Belgium too.
