It's that view again
You were going to have a triptych of walnuts - showing how the harvest works (I didn't know until I had charge of a walnut tree). But that's too much like work after such a busy day, so here's the view from the front of the house again: Caraman in the foreground is several km away, and the Pyrenees in the background are 90 minutes drive.
Much rushing around this morning with Katherine's French lesson, a trip into town for errands, Katherine's riding lesson and work at the MBH. An early finish to that (after a stern but slightly traumatic call with the boss of the electricians we are using asking him to take the guys working in the house at the moment away. They're very helpful and charming, but only do anything if we specifically ask them, and spend the rest of the time chatting. And we are paying by the hour. So there will be a pause in electrical work for a few weeks. Given I haven't yet summoned the strength required for the 2 hour phone call with EDF to arrange installation and upgrade of our permanent supply, it's fair enough.) Anyway, an early finish to come home and do the kids' homework with them - and they both surprised me by putting their games down willingly and working hard. Conor even asked to do a bit extra. More fig harvesting, some bill paying and the day is done.
