Nice Pear.
I lacked the motivation to go out at lunch time in search of blippery, so this was taken at my work bench.
Oboes are usually made of grenadilla (black) wood, or sometimes cocobolo (brown) wood. These result in quite heavy instruments.
This one is made of pear wood, which is much lighter, to special order for a child to learn on.
The problem is, woodwind instruments need to be airtight to work properly, & pear wood isn't.
Looks pretty though!
