Sunflowers

Sunflowers always take me back to my family home. Mum was no gardener but boy oh boy she could grow the most massive sunflowers outside the sitting room window. The tallest would have been 9-10 feet high. These ones made me smile.

They got me thinking....

Why is it that the sight of somethings puts an immediate smile on our faces?
Is it because the thought takes us back to a happier, more simple time?

In my case for these it is and I will always think of Mums sunflowers everytime I see any at all......
