Ever bright and fair

Entering the Picture

Mark and I took Poppy to our local dog park, a place where she can run around off leash. It's the first time we've been there in about three months. The reason I haven't taken her since June is because, until the last couple of days, the weather has been too hot (there's not much shade out there). This morning it felt like Fall and it was overcast and cool so I thought this would be a perfect day to go. We got there around 9:15 and had the whole place to ourselves. I'm sure a lot of dogs had been there over Labor Day weekend because she spent about 25 minutes running around sniffing the perimeter. She seemed much more interested in checking out smells than in playing but we managed to get her to run a little bit. I tried to take some action shots of her running, but my camera isn't fast enough. I tried to anticipate where she was going to be and then shoot, but for the most part, my timing was off. Most of the pictures I took were a little blurry, including this one, but I liked how I caught her with her ears sticking straight up (they normally hang down). I do wish I had caught more of her in the frame though.
