Living in a jungle city

The festival has left Edinburgh but now you could almost be mistaken for thinking it had been replaced by the circus. 130 animal structures have taken the streets of auld reekie to raise awareness of Asia's endangered wildlife. Designers and artists such as Jack Vettriano and Geri Halliwell have decorated an array of creatures which will eventually be auctioned to raise money for the charity Elephant Family.

Hopefully the neds of Edinburgh will refrain from damaging these creatures as they did with the Cow Parade a few years ago...
