Poor Sally's gone

Perhaps you'll feel better when you know Sally was a pet - probably a dog. This is one several graves in the pet cemetery just west of Wester Craigs in Inverness. It used to be attached to the asylum, later psychiatric hospital, of Craig Dunain. It seems the patients were allowed to have pets. There's also a small paupers' cemetery which was used for some of the inmates. Very little to see apart from a refurbished memorial to an inmate who held the VC. The hospital itself is now being turned into luxury flats.
