Farewell Arnside
We've just returned from a few days in the Lake District. Primarily we were up there for Erin's Christening, but there's no way we could visit that part of the country without meeting up with two of my favourite blippers, Sheilwill and Gladders, plus of course my latest subscription Willllwynbedw.
Perhaps not the most auspicious start to our blipmeet when I cancelled a proposed meal in favour of meeting up with Pete & Ali (Erin's Dad & Mum), nor the most auspicious end to the weekend with a last minute cancellation of an outing with Gladders & Wifie, again in favour of Pete and Ali, and actually the bit in the middle where we did actually turn up for coffee and ended up staying seven hours doesn't sound terribly auspicious either.
But the reality is we met four absolutely lovely people that both Mrs L and I just clicked with and I'm sure we'll be meeting them again in the future. That is of course if S & W forgive us for blipping a photo which I said wasn't for blipping - but it's such a great photo of the two of them I just had to and that G forgives me for visiting Arnside and not blipping him at all!
Today's photo is the view from our bedroom window in Arnside - not a patch on the landscapes that Gladders produces, so you'll need to visit his journal to see how good it can look.
