Ticked Off

A horrid tick was discovered on the mutt's paw. They take about three weeks to bloat up with blood before you notice them, and guess what...we were in rural surroundings near sheep about three weeks ago. That's one more good reason to follow the 1.15 effect and live in a city as far as I'm concerned. The vet had to crowbar the ghastly parasite off with a special tool and the poor dog was not amused. It took three of us to hold her still.
It took several attempts to squish the tick on the table and the trainee assistant nearly puked.
There was no charge, thankfully.
