A variation on this shot, with two main differences:
- the white balance has been altered. It isn't necessarily "correct" (whatever that is), just altered;
- there's some light left in the evening sky. More would have been better, especially to the left side.
I often like to have some light in the sky in night photos, especially when the sky's a deep blue, and any clouds are high up. It helps to show and emphasise the outline of unlit areas, such as the canopy here.
Low cloud introduces other effects, and will interact with street lighting to enhance(?) the sodium vapour orange glow seen above many towns and cities.
Perhaps a third difference is that the exposure is better!
Of course these differences are purely subjective, "your mileage may vary." An easy option (cheat?), for getting around white balance or other colour issues, is to try black & white. That works quite well with both of these shots - of course that's just IMHO...
