The Bassenthwaite Wolf?
We walked along the green lanes around Bassenthwaite Lake in the English Lake District on a very windy afternoon when sun swapped frequently with heavy showers. On the banks of the lake, we found this old log which we thought looked like a big bad old wolf's head. Rather ironic in a field of Lakeland sheep! This picture might have been better as the sheep were flocking just behind the log, but it took me so long to remove my (phone) camera from its waterproof bag in my rucksac that the sheep had cleared off by the time I was set up. The summit of the mighty Skiddaw is lost in clouds at the top of the scene.
