Magic Trick
Goodbye To All This Pt. 7
I was reading some viscosity's this afternoon on the polymers when I noticed this clever trick of the light.
It is, of course, a refraction effect. You can do the same with a pencil in a pint of water.
The lights wavelength is bent by the gel, which causes the image to twisted, so it looks like the spindle above and below the surface line are at different points. Quite a nice example of it.
Weather forecast rubbish for the next four days whilst I am off work, so my blips could be a challenge!
