Rural Idyll? Townie error!
The top of our drive - the Fens - 1600h. There was a time I would have died for such a landscape outside my front door.
I grew up nearby but moved away over a decade ago. Adventures in the cities ensued.
Just over a year ago we thought it'd be a good idea to move back and let our daughter grow up in the country. Be closer to friends and family.
The people who sold us our house lied through their teeth about it's condition - they'd managed to fool the surveyor, lender, estate agent and us.
We had to shell out £14.5k just to sell the bloody place! Our neighbours have made our lives a misery and should've shared the cost of works - but it's doubtful we'll see the money.
We're moving to a 70's development in a big, noisy, smelly, anti-social town, in the home counties, in between the M3 and M4.
Right now it can't be any worse.
