Kirstens First Day at school

I can't believe that the day has finally got here - Kirsten has been so excited about starting school for what seems like forever! She insisted on dressing herself and then after photos and breakfast etc we wandered over to the school - I went in with her to help her find her peg and drawer etc and when that bit was over she pretty much said to me (in not so many words) 'Ok - you're done here now - you can leave Mummy - I'll be fine!' So that went well - only had a small blub in the car on my way to work!

She also had her first ballet class in her new dance school this afternoon which she loved! She had to stop dancing for a couple of months earlier this year and really missed it.

In other news - Bear had a reasonable first day back at school, I am struggling to get my head around the fact that it will be his last year at the school before heading off to high school!

Ian also told me today that he is off to Greenland on Sunday for work for a week - which is a mixed bag to be honest, I will miss him of course but I will be able to get a fix of rubbish American girly comedy and wallow in the bath to my hearts content! ha ha ha.
