Got a lion in my pocket......

This attractive guy guards the entrance to Maidstone museum. The museum is housed in an Elizabethan manor house. Chillington Manor was built in 1562 (two years before Shakespeare was born!) for the local MP. Now it sits in the centre of town facing a modern shopping centre which it will probably outlast. The lion is bearing a shield showing Invicta; the white horse of Kent - took some work to line up the lion with the doorway.
