Manchester Pub: Jolly Carter

JW Lees is a long established local brewery with a number of old pubs in and around Manchester. This one is slightly out of character in its location and may be older than many of the surrounding houses. Festooned with an astonishing number of external fittings - aerials, cables, lights, satellite dishs and CCTV cameras - but at least the most important one, the pub sign, remains and is crowned with the name of the brewer.
