i went to see nick cave and the bad seeds last night at the academy in birmingham. i regret to inform you that he wasn't great. he played what for me was a strange choice of songs. when he did play a couple of the ballads for which i like him most, he seemed to struggle to control himself amongst the rock and roll antics he had been upto. still nick cave's 'OK' is most artist's 'once in a lifetime'


now playing: 'von' by sigur ros. the version from 'hvarf' (which means either disappeared or haven apparently). i've still not gone off sigur ros yet. maybe the new album will get rid of me
