Abracadabra--sort of!
After lounging around in our pj's most of the day, we didn't accomplish much for a pleasant change. This was the second batter Hannah made to create homemade dog biscuits. Why is it those craft & cooking books designed for kids take more adult supervision- if they are even doable at all?
The first batter.... well, let's say it was a learning experience. She didn't follow the recipe correctly & it went haywire. Trying to fix it made things worse. After realizing it was time to concede defeat & start fresh, I assisted more closely. Bailey found no problem with the bit of trashed batter he sampled, though! There was still quite a bit of flour adjustments to make the second go workable, but we somehow managed to get these bone cut-out "cookies." Hannah is not waving her magic wand as it appears here, but she was brushing egg over the tops of each biscuit before baking. Bailey was happy as can be munching down his still-slightly-warm doggie biscuit treat. He's now sleeping with such contentment at all the fuss just for him.
