The light above the castle

The Edinburgh Festivals and Fringe are definately over when the firework concert happens. I've yet to sit in the Ross Bandstand to watch and listen but once, years ago I sat in Princes Street Gardens.

I used to go and stand in Princes Street when I worked shifts near the centre of town but these days we make do with walking along the road a bit to stand near Goldenacre and look over Warriston playing fields.

(I didn't use a tripod for the one hundred or so pictures I took of the concert fireworks. I had the camera on a wall with the hand strap under the lens to get the right angle, I also used a twig from a nearby bush to help with adjustments. I also had a cable release so I didn't jiggle the camera as I took the shot.)
