Spitfires

Woke to rain this morning & headed to Cambridge in rain.
By the time we arrived in Cambridge for the 'Duxford Airshow' the weather had started to improve and the rain had eased.
We spent some time in the museum before heading outside to look at the ground display.
We managed to get a really cool position but just as the air display was about to start, the rain made another appearance but much much heavier, apart from not being able to see some of the displays due to the heavy rain & low cloud we got absolutely drenched.
We were however treated to a spectacular display by 7 spitfires & fortunately the rain at this point had eased.
There is nothing quite like the sound of the Merlin engine.
