Highly Unsprung

Giddy Up Rawhide

Here's the family away to head home after visiting the Sheltie Fintray Stakes. It's become an annual, early birthday day out for us and it always seems to be sunny. One of the ponies was called Lainey, my nickname (a nickname endured not enjoyed i must add) and it came a honourable 5th place in the 3rd race (okay, so there were only 7 running). The wee girl on jocky duty was no more than 7 or 8 years old and seemed fair pleased with herself. As did my kids, who fleeced us out of so many £1.50s for this and £1.50s for that, that we went from minted to skinted very quickly. I can fairly see how the event made £14,000 for the local village Hall and School last year!

must stop taking blurred pics....and good luck to The Lorelei at the Scottish New Music Awards tonight, hope you raised the bar and the roof
