Sentinels.

After stripping the tiles and shower doors out in preparation of the new wall to go in and the plastering of the dining room ceiling I thought a bit of a walk was in order to get some fresh air in the kungs.

Ended up on top of Weetslade Colliery's pit heap which has these rather fetching drill head sculptures.
